Ver 2.0 - Visor Electronics

Here is the PCB and a couple of servos "Y" jacked together + DarkJerre LED eyes.
All is activated by a solitary micro tap switch.
PS - The batteries are pretty pooched, but you get the idea...

  2. Ok... so I have realized that the Hyperdyne controller board has a voltage output of 5VDC which isn't quite enough steam to move the visor fast enough for my taste... also the LED current output is stuck at 20 mA, and the Dark Jerre 64 LED eye array needs between 600 and 1000 mA to illuminate properly.
I have been able to replace the voltage regulator, but am working to get the manufacturer to do this as an offering as well as the option to have the LED current increased to be able to properly drive the Dark Jerre eye LED arrays.

Also have come up with a better actuation design.
Using an available linear conversion kit for a common servo that gives a 3/4" throw.
Have also changed the linkage so that to lift the visor is a pull, not a push (better chance for the pushrod to not fail and bend.

The lateral bars that were formerly straight, have been replaced with something that resembles a hockey stick :-p
The linkage moves through a 70 degree range, and the design of the new lateral bars give the full 70 degree range within a 3/4" pull.

Designs and templates will be made available asap.
